yes.

that might be the case, but the whole openocd/debugboard combination is
restricted to arm-jtag, and we might have non-arm devices.  We'll try to
make it work with further devices, but sometimes fundamental
archtiectural constraints just make that impossible

the connector on the device side is likely to change, even for later
Neo1973 models.  However, the connector on the debug board side will
remain the same, thus only a new cable is required.
