Development environment

What development tools are you using for writing C/GTK+ code? I've
been C++ programmer under Windows platform some time ago and I used to
write code with kicking-ass SlickEdit editor. But I had only old W32
license and now I'm looking for free Linux alternative - with code
completion, code insight, syntax highlighting and so on. Short guide
how to configure stuff would be helpful, too.
