Bootloader upgrade

Hi there,

I just updated the bootloader on my Neo by doing the following via the USB
u-boot console (bootloader image was downloaded from
http://buildhost.openmoko.org/tmp/deploy/images/, as suggested in the
Neo1973_Phase_0 wiki page):

----------------------------------------
GTA01Bv3 # ext2ls mmc 0
<DIR> 1024 .
ry (de 1024 ..
01Bv3 12288 lost+found
          196252 u-boot-gta01bv3-r3_0_0_1321.bin
        25100288 openmoko-devel-image-fic-gta01.jffs2
GTA01Bv3 # ext2load mmc 0 0x32000000 u-boot-gta01bv3-r3_0_0_1321.bin

196252 (0x2fe9c) bytes read
GTA01Bv3 # nand erase u-boot

NAND erase: device 0 offset 0x0, size 0x40000
OK
GTA01Bv3 # nand write 0x32000000 u-boot 196252
NAND write: device 0 offset 0x0, size 0x40000
 262144 bytes written: OK
----------------------------------------

After a short while it powered off by itself (is there a way to disable this?
it's somewhat annoying). I powered back on to find that the OpenMoko splash
screen was replaced by a small tux icon and message, and the automatic boot
did not occur. Powering off and then on again with the aux button held down
gave me a menu with no option to enable the USB console, only "Boot"
and "Factory restore". Selecting boot flashes some error messages up on
screen briefly and then powers down (something about bad magic).

Any suggestions? Was it a bad idea for me to try to do this?

Cheers,
Paul
