I have (of course) no objection to add it to SVN. It would also be an
opportunity for official developpers to improve on it if the code base
proves to be capable enough. (In others words: if it can help...)
Give me some more time to work on it isolately first however (see below
why). I'll signal when I feel comfortable (or desparate) with the entire
code.

Well, then I really have to check why it seems to compute erroneously
when numbers get >10e+8... currently, that's really strange sometimes...

OK. I'll check. Right now, I have only used a simple GtkLabel but it
seems already that a better thing would be useful (e.g. to display the
exponent part of a number in a smaller font).
