Hello,

I have been working on the XVideo driver for the X server of
the GTA02 device, aka Xglamo.

Now the basics of video playback are in the box. The driver of the
XVideo extension can now display YUV 4:2:0 planar frames, scale them and
clip them.

As a result, I could launch totem on my GNOME desktop and make it use
the Xglamo server running on the neo gta02 device. I have tested
mplayer on the device as well and it seems the basics of the driver are
working. At least the hardware handling part of it is working I can say.

There are a couple of things I need to finish though:
  * iron out the popup window support
  * add support for color related attributes like brightness,
    saturation, contrast
  * do more testing.

For now, this work as been committed to the Xglamo git repository as
usual at
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/~dodji/xglamo/commit/?id=8122cc73cc11e011d38144fc77226c37670ef938.

You can test it by either compiling an openmoko image from
monotone.openmoko.org, wait until Monday to get an image from the
autobuilder, or if you already have an openmoko compilation
environment handy, do a bitbake xserver-kdrive -crebuild and install
the resulting xserver-kdrive-glamo_1.3.0.0-r22_armv4t.ipk on the device.

Cheerio,

Dodji.
