Accelerometers come out on /dev/input/event2 and 3 using normal X Y Z
events.

If you pop the top facia, I2C is available from two testpoints near the
debug connector.  I'll post a pic in a minute.

There is not really any spare PWM, but you can steal the one used for
FIQ (Timer 3) I guess.

| Can we use the toolchain for this application?

Yes it should be fine.

I'm not sure a usermode app is the way to go with this though, and I2C
may not be fast enough either, but you can get started that way.
