So ECC isn't ready for prime time yet. A long time ago, when we were
also looking into boot time improvments, I briefly enabled hardware
ECC in the kernel, but then people started reporting stray JFFS2
errors, but I couldn't find any flaw in the kernel, so I disabled it
again.

We didn't find out that this was an interaction between u-boot and
the kernel until much later.
