I just tried listening to the same piece of music on my PC, on the
GTA01 and the GTA02A4. I used the same headphones also (cheap no
brand but not very bad). There were no problems getting very high
volume level on either PC or GTA01 (higher than my ears could take and
higher than the headphones could take). There is a noticeable bass
cut-off on my GTA01 and GTA02 compared to the PC btu very likely it's
one of the mixer settings (that or a bass boost on the PC). It took
me a good two minutes to try out the bars and switches to get any
sound to the headphones on the GTA01 :) The GTA02 runtime was very
short and so I couldn't make sure if the volume level was all okay but
it was enough to notice same cut-off effect, with the settings I tried
first. It may be also the connector or the 2.5-to-3.5mm adapter fault,
unfortunately I know nothing about verifying audio quality, (except
that the PC sounded better, no adapter though). No volume too low
problems with any of the headphones I've tried with GTA01 so far.

Cheers
