2 SD card slots / SDIO

Isn't SDIO related to the software (eg driver) only?

SD and SDIO are basically the same SPI or 4-databits-SPI-like hardware
protocol with additional commands, I guess (at least, this is what i saw on
the freely available spec available at sdcard.org)
