They're OK.  We made trouble for ourselves by having two share a single
SPI bus, but I think we worked around that now.  Now something else
breaks them in Linux we don't have a clue about yet, changing the chip
probably wouldn't help if it is still SPI since we need to do what it is
we are doing.

I don't know of one with mainline support off the top of my head.

The LIS302DL threshold stuff will be useful when it is implemented.  A
lot of alternative motion sensors are analogue type, which we can use
fine with CPU ADC, but then we don't get the power saving from threshold
stuff.
