Nope, single accesses caused the "INT# death" behaviour described... it
was pretty easy to reproduce here too since on yaking the cable CHGHALT
was generated slightly before USBREM -- after sitting there a while
yanking and reinserting the cable you could kill further notifications
with the last one serviced being CHGHALT.

Moving to atomic access -- read the 50606 datasheet, it says you must do
it atomically, the language in the 50633 one is inconsistent with itself
- -- solved this and I sat there for a couple of minutes spamming the
connector without trouble.
