Hi Graeme -

Willie reports no output from stereoout.state at the moment, either on
git or buildhost kernels.  The context is that we have a small rootfs
mounted off SD card for the production test action, we don't use udev,
maybe some /dev/snd/* part is missing, it doesn't have to actually be
the state file or driver that is broken.

He can play mp3s but no sound comes, he fiddled with alsamixer.

I'm just wondering if you have an idea from this description of events
or some tests to propose that can speed us towards a solution since time
is a bit tight here for a production action that is pending.
