Bug 1105

Hi all,

I'm curious about what a solution to bug 1105 might look like.

Does it seem like the kind of thing an inexperienced kernel developer
like myself might be able to use to get started on kernel hacking? Or is
it the kind of thing perhaps best left to the experts?
