OK so the flip answers in v0.01 email that sent itself were:

~ - "actually it shows the no charging state 100% already, isn't 50%
reliability enough for this?"

~ - "I don't see this in my copy of the spec?"

~ - "OMG there is no MPU for when the CPU is off?!?!   K A H N S T E N !!!"
