I thought a bit about this, and I don't want to touch this now.
(Got to leave for the airport in a few minutes anyway.)

We'll have time to review the power-up sequence at the end of the
week.

In any case, there'll be a DFU-level "replace everything" software
upgrade in April, much like we did with GTA01, where we can get
rid of all these lesser gremlins.
