| Hi all,

| I've had no luck resurrecting my ribbon cable, so I'm wondering if
| anyone has looked at doing a USB console for the kernel in the same
| way that uboot provides a usbtty console. Is there any reason not to
| try and add this kind of support to the kernel?

Maybe one day we can have a compound gadget that exposes a USB serial
class device for console as well as USB ethernet, there is work going on
about it upstream. But if it is a choice between the serial or the
ethernet gadgets (as it is in 2.6.24) the ethernet is better I think.
