Somebody in the thread at some point said:

No it's fine, but I'm surprised it cares.

We're setting both MACs to the same here, it's not exactly right but I
can imagine it can be OK because they are definitely always on two sides
of the physical link.

Anyway I sent it on master for qi, thanks for the feedback and patch.
