 One problem though: from the user's point of view, you turn on
 the phone and "nothing" happens.  I tried enabling the boot logo
 on the kernel, but I can't get it to work (admitedly I didn't
 spend _that_ much time on the issue, has anyone figured it out?)

 From _my_ POV it's really wonderful: I can upload kernels to the
 SD card, set up symlinks, reboot and voilà, new kernel running.
