Did you modify otimed except disabling the clock setting? Did you
disable the call to 'date' and/or 'hwclock'?

otimed compares the current system clock against externeal time sources
(ntp, gps), so this means your system clock is slower than your
reference.

Andy: is the system clock using the same ocillator as the RTC?
