Just had a very quick look and I liked what I saw. Just one remark:
when doing style cleanup, that should really go into a separate
patch. That way, one doesn't have to search through a lot of
whitespace changes to find where the functionality has changed.

Also, if there's a controversy over the functionality change, the
cleanup can still progress.
