Signature Check Failed on opkg update

I am having this same problem, however my phone is NOT still downloading the files. opkg update will not work.

I can ping yahoo.com, so I am pretty sure dns is working, however when I tried to update the keyboard (http://wiki.openmoko.org/wiki/Switching_Keyboards#Matchbox_keyboard) I get a dependency problem with libfreetype6. It is requesting a newer version than my opkg thinks exists.
