FDOM Suspend/Lock Issue

Ok,
Is there a way to install a new window manager or theme through opkg and then edit the conf files to switch to it? I'm trying to avoid yet another re-flash of the device.

Just edit the BitBake image files and substitute E and Illume with the
Window Manager and theme of your choice.
