   That version is a whole year old (with known problems reading ext2
partitions as well as reading from partitions above 4 GB). The latest U-Boot
is git commit 57f7a4288aaa08d2dc480a923372e7a7781ce882 available at
http://downloads.openmoko.org/distro/experimental/

   That's a kernel error which shouldn't be affected by upgrading U-Boot
or qi. Please provide the output of
