well, it's not a battery related question anymore ...
anyway. there have been postings over time  and one just recently, taht  
several people incorporated the nedded at commands in the code and  
re-built the library, incl a link where to download.
searching for
qtopia|qtextended+echo
in the mails of the last three or four weeks should turn up the most  
recent posting.
