Please, I beg you, don't let this turn into a GPL license/closed
firmware/other legal stuff thread.  As has already been pointed out,
these issues are debated daily, to death, elsewhere.

Having said that, my opinion is... I'm going to follow my own advice
here and shut up and not continue the debate :)
